  • Chelsea & Mark danced the Jive to I Write Sins Not Tragedies (Panic at the Disco) 18
  • Chris & Cheryl danced the Quickstep to I Got Rhythm (Judy Garland) 23
  • Petra & Dmitry danced the Jive to Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Queen) 18

  • Hines & Kym danced the Quickstep to Part Time Lover (Stevie Wonder) 23

Favorite Couples: Kirstie & Maks, Hines & Kym, Chris & Cheryl, Romeo & Chelsie, Ralph & Karina.  I *love* Kirstie and Maks together—they have fantastic chemistry and seem to really enjoy working together.  I think she looks amazing on the dance floor and I love seeing Maks laugh in their rehearsals.  Hines & Kym, Chris & Cheryl, and Romeo & Chelsie had the standout performances of the night.  Everyone in this group is a contender and I think the competition will be much closer than it has in the past—exciting!

Near Misses and Most Improved: I agreed with the judges regarding Chelsea and Mark’s Jive.  Wendy Williams was definitely the Most Improved—way to go!

Who’s Going Home?: Kendra?  Petra?  It’s hard to say.  Everyone’s working really hard and I think they’ve all done well.  I think everyone is pretty likeable but unless Kendra’s fans are tuning in, she may have a tougher time connecting with DWS fans.  Petra seems nice but I think connection may be a challenge for her as well and she hasn’t wowed us yet on the dance floor.  Mike has the lowest score but I think viewers will keep him on a bit—he and Lacey have good chemistry and I think he’s on his way to being a good dancer.

Other Thoughts: Again, thank goodness for Tom Bergeron!  I don’t remember what inspired Len’s crankiness but I loved Tom’s comment “Fiber, man, fiber”.  I also loved some of the songs tonight:  Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Black Horse and the Cherry Tree, The Boys Are Back in Town, You’re The One I Want, Part Time Lover.

Gripe: Chris Brown—really?  I’m not sorry that I’m working tonight and will miss the results show and no, I’m not recording it.

Well, I guess I was wrong. See ya Mike! I personally would have liked for Mike & Lacey to remain in the competition a bit longer.
